Case Study – GiGi’s Playhouse

Client:
GiGi’s Playhouse is an Awareness Center for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Project:
2006 GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Awareness Calendar
Each year as a fundraiser and to create awareness GiGi’s Playhouse produces a calendar. Children from the center are featured each month. This year’s theme, “Look at us Now” was to bring public attention to how much has changed over the last 10 years and to break stereotypes of individuals with Down syndrome.

Solution:
Each month features a different child in a positive light. Quotes were added to emphasis the child’s strengths and to show how children with Down syndrome are more like typical children then they are different.

Matching note cards were also created to sell.
